Banditto Residency announces 3 winners out of 72 applicants for the Summer 2021 round.


Hosted by Banditto Art, The Banditto Residency Program is a celebration of excellence in art from across the globe.

This exceptional artist-in-residency opportunity provides benefits for envelope-pushing artists of all disciplines. This program affords the winner the opportunity to create work in a stunningly inspiring environment situated in one of the most picturesque villages in Tuscany.

There are two awards in every round: the Main Residency Prize awarded to one entrant and the Emerging Art Prize which is awarded to two runner-up entrants. 

The following winners were announced on July 14, 2021:

Winner of the Main Residency Prize for Summer 2021 is Jeremy Crowle (Canada) 

The main prize includes return flights for the winner from anywhere in the world, transportation, and 10 days accommodation in Montefollonico, Tuscany, Italy. Welcome dinner with art collector and owner of Banditto Art, an online exhibition hosted by Galleria Banditto and editorial coverage in Banditto Mag; a collectors magazine. In addition to the above, the winner will be awarded a cash prize of $200(USD).

Winners of the Emerging Art Prize for Summer 2021 are:

The runner up prizes (emerging art prizes) include an online exhibition hosted by Galleria Banditto, editorial coverage in Banditto Mag; a collectors magazine and each of the two winners will also be awarded a cash prize of $100(USD).

In addition to the residency prizes, the successful applicants will get to share their work with a broader audience, and further their engagement with the international art world. They will be given the opportunity to showcase their work and will also be promoted on various online platforms. 

The winners for the Summer 2021 round were selected from applications submitted in response to an international call for entries. The entries were reviewed by the judging panelists and the number of artists was narrowed down from 72 applicants to 15 finalists, of which the final 3 were selected.
